Becoming Huge On Twitter? Anyone Have Tips for Gaining Massive Followers?

Does anyone know any tips, tricks, strategies, etc for gaining a LOT of followers on Twitter in a short period of time.

Any tips are so appeciated!

Well I started yesterday with Twitter, I didn't have a clue how to use it but I'm up to 170 followers at the moment and it keeps rising each time I look.

Iv been learning loads of new techniques today and I want to implement these for at least the next few weeks by which time I'm estimating a really big following.

From what I have researched an what I am going to put into practice myself is;

A good bio and engaging photo is key as this is the first port of call for potential followers

Go with one of the other twitter designs as the default is uninspiring. Or go to mytweetspace.com

Your tweets must have good content of value to other people.

Follow other people with large followers and see what they write.

Try to engage in conversation with them so they reply to your tweets leading to you @username in different social circles. (I did this with Reed Floren)

Go to tweetlater.com to set up an autoresponder to those who follow you thanking them for their follow.

teach your followers to retweet your messages so that your @username is seen in many people who don't follow you yet.

Its really annoying, I really want to change my picture as its a bit silly but twitter is having trouble with any picture uploads at the moment.

Yeh I want it for exactly the same reasons. A list of aorund 10-20k which would be a fantastic way to build a list for free and then sell affiliate products.

There are quite a few internet marketers doing similar but they are making the mistake of not building a relationship before trying to sell.

My thoughts- yes - have the relevant and targeted content feeds- I got it working with Twitterfeed.com linked to bit.ly tracking URLs I was excited it just started working -

I ordered the Twitter Traffic Machine and It seems to be working for me- approaching 500 followers by the end of the day!

Hey I just got the traffic machine aswell. Just implementing it right now. This is amazing, You can target people interests and follow them automatically with twollo. This really is a new breed of internet marketing.

Thought you might have purchased that- I was like for $27 Might as well try Twitter Traffic Machine and I wasn't going to CRY if it didn't work lol-!

Why stop at 10000 why not 100K? I'm working on it tonight with a friend to tune it and target it more - one thing I notice is that it will be advantageous to clean out some people you're following from time to time.

I'm excited. I want to have a combined targeted list of 400K or 600K like Roy Oron!! I signed up to his program too lol -

I got 90 tweets in 8 hours. That simply flushes away all other traffic from the rest of the people I follow.

If it wasn't because I know you, I'd be enclined to stop following you due to volume.

But the principle is sound, though ...

the one thing you cant get from the automated rss twitter feeds is any sense of conversation, it just seems to be news. I think people like to see every now and again, replies to a conversation or just updates on e.g. how nice the weather is today, just to show your followers you are active in twitter world and not just a lean mean markerter.

Hi Michel- yes, I did think of that and I may cut back a bit. Right now I'm hovering around 3000 followers (nearly)! So I don't want to touch anything, as they don't seem to be falling off.

Let me get up around 10K and I'll look at it again

Hello you all, I am Mili Ponce (maria) I was in Stage in the Seminar of mark anastasi, well in case you don't remember me I can help you and show you how to get followers in twitter. I just had an interview that mark Anastasi made to me about it and now I am making a video so you can follow it step by step

the twitter traffic machine is not bad at all but it is expensive and it is not even a software m, he just shows you some twitter tools that can help you, i do use the same tool plus other tools that i have been testing.

I have helped few people that I met in the seminar and they are making an average of 150-200 followers a day, plus it is all automated.

The phone interview that mark made to me will be on line tomorrow hopefully and I am working on the video and even a book about how to monetirise with twitter.

I am sure we can help each other in many ways, so if any of you is interested I will be more than happy to help each other I am sure we can support each other in many ways.
